He's amazing.
Alice in Wonderland impression.
America's Mart called and kinda said, "Nevermind, Lester. But hows about interning this coming fall or even in 2010?"
:(
I'm feeling very disheartened.

I'm feeling very disheartened.
Things are a'changing!
So:
-Went to the doctor's today and got a z-pac! Yayyy! I'll be all better in no time!
-Called America's Mart and have a tentative interview scheduled for 2pm on February 20th. Ahh! Now I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get there. Flights out of Columbus are about $250. Out of both Akron/Canton and Cleveland are around $300. Hermmm.
-My class schedule is what dreams are made of. I have 1 class Monday mornings, 3 on Tuesday, 1 Wednesday morning, 1 on Thursday (and I teach my salsa class at night), and nothing on Friday. Incredible!
-I helped teach (with my dance partner Sean) my first hour and 15 minute salsa class this past Thursday. There was a very big turnout and the class went very smoothly. Everyone picked up all of the moves so quickly. I was such a proud Poppa...sorta. :)
-The coughing attacks I have had today have been some of the scariest I've ever experienced. Come on z-pac! Come through for me!
Ok. So since I haven't done much of anything since Thursday(when I first got ill-house) I suppose there is no reason in starting now. :) Maybe cleaning my room. Yes.

So, I was not selected for the Natori Internship.
The search continues.
It does not, however, help that I can barely speak right now. I've got a sore throat and a weird, shallow cough. Hopefully this will all go away soon so I can make some phone calls (Mom, I haven't forgotten you and I still love you.) :)

Thank you to everyone that has been praying for me. I really appreciate it and I'm really looking for direction as to where I'm supposed to go. "Everything turns out okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end," right?
Natori:
I think the phone interview went alright. It's always hard to tell and it lasted all of 13 minutes anyways. I should know by the end of the month. I'm pretty sure this is an unpaid position that will take place in New York City.
America's Mart:
Based in Atlanta, this internship would also be unpaid, errand running work much like the Natori position. I'm going to call to set up an interview tomorrow. Hopefully they can do one over the phone, and if not then I suppose it is not meant to be.
Nordstrom:
I'm going in tomorrow to pick up my pay check and to see about a possible internship. This one would be paid and would mostly focus on manager training. I, however, am not currently focusing on becoming a department manager. I could do this internship in Columbus or really anywhere that has a Nordstrom.
Ok. So now you know pretty much what I know. All prayers are warmly welcomed :)

Phone interview (for an internship) with Natori tomorrow morning. Eeep!
I've being interviewed by Ms. Nice. We shall see!
So while I was in NYC, I was on the subway and saw a man carrying a TOD'S bag. Immediatly, I was curious. TOD'S sells very expensive leather goods and I wanted to know why this seemingly average looking dude had such a nice purse and/or leather shoes in his position. (Well, check the writing on his messenger bag...duh.)

TOD'S purse (pictured below): $1,550.

Things I've Learned From Women Who've Dumped Me::Ben Karlin (editor)

Hilarious. The book is comprised of many different short stories by various authors and comedians, talking about, duh, being dumped. Highly recommended though the language is not for everyone.
Favorite quote: "Awkward would have been a vacation."
Twilight::Stephanie Meyers

Admittedly, I'm very embarrassed to have purchased AND read this book. That all being said...I kind of loved it (Like to the point that I gathered up all the courage I could today, and asked the people at the library if they had the second book in the series.) They didn't, but whateves...Twilight was quite a good read.
A Man Without A Country::Kurt Vonnegut

It was good though not as good as Welcome To The Monkey House, which I really did enjoy. Of the two, I'd say go for the latter.

Wow. I've truly out-geeked myself.

I miss my little babies, Larson and Secily. Mawwww. And I just left.
The last ermmm, 6 days (?) have been gloriously spent in my beloved Tejas with my oldest brother and his family. It was a beautiful time filled with lots of laughing and just "lovely" people. :)
New Years Resolutions:
-Quit eating everything in sight.
-Read more, still.
-Get an internship by the time that April rolls around.
-Volunteer during the school year.
-Pass all classes with flying colors.
-Ride my bike to school when the weather (and my eternal tardiness) permits.
